Terms of Use

Introduction

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the CDEN website and platform, operated by [legal entity name] (“CDEN,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Who can use CDEN

CDEN is for disabled entrepreneurs and aspiring founders across Canada. You must be at least [18] years old and able to enter a binding agreement. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your login details secure. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You may close your account at any time.

What CDEN provides

CDEN gives you access to mentor matching, funding information, cohorts, and events. Mentors are independent and are not employees or agents of CDEN, and we do not endorse or guarantee their advice. Funding information is not a guarantee: we list and rank Canadian funding programs to help you find good matches and track deadlines, but we do not decide funding or guarantee that you will receive any funding. Information on the platform is for general information and is not legal, financial, tax, or medical advice.

Acceptable use

When using CDEN, you agree not to break any law or infringe the rights of others; harass, abuse, discriminate against, or harm other members or mentors; post content that is false, misleading, unlawful, or offensive; misuse another member’s information; interfere with the platform or introduce harmful code; or use the platform to send spam or unsolicited marketing. We may suspend or remove any account that breaks these rules.

Community, mentoring, and cohorts

CDEN works because members treat each other with respect. Information shared in cohorts and mentoring sessions should be kept in confidence and used only to support one another. Do not record sessions without the consent of everyone involved.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. By posting it, you give CDEN a limited license to display and use it as needed to operate the platform. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to share it.

Intellectual property

The CDEN name, logo, platform, and content we create are owned by CDEN or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or reuse them without our written permission, except as allowed by law.

Links to other sites

The platform may link to funding programs, events, and other third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Review their own terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimers

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind about the platform, including that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any result, match, or outcome will be achieved.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CDEN and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, including any decision you make based on information, a match, or a mentor session. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your access

You may stop using CDEN at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons. Sections that should reasonably continue after your account ends, such as intellectual property and limitation of liability, will remain in effect.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here with a revised date, and where the change is significant we will give notice through the platform. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of [Ontario] and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be handled by the courts located in [Ontario].
